Lost belongings reported to Rakesh Sharma, Station Manager, safely reached the passenger

On 20.11.2024, Shri Kishore Grover, Parcel Supervisor, contacted Shri Rakesh Sharma, Station Manager, New Delhi Railway Station, to report that his acquaintance, Shri Rajesh Kumar, had left his belongings on Train No. 22455 SNSI-KLK Express. The passenger had traveled from Sainagar Shirdi to Kalka in Coach B-1, occupying Seat 4, but deboarded at Chandigarh. By the time the issue was reported, the train had already reached Kalka Railway Station and was at the washing line for maintenance.

Acting promptly, Shri Rakesh Sharma contacted the Station Manager at Kalka Railway Station, but the initial attempts were in vain, and the coach attendant also didn’t find anything.

Undeterred, Shri Rakesh Sharma contacted Shri Manish Uppal, CTI/Kalka Railway Station, who then informed Shri Savir Jaitley, JE/C&W/Kalka, about the issue. Shri Savir Jaitley made earnest efforts to search for the belongings on 21.11.2024.

Finally, the belongings were located and returned to Shri Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Shirdi, Pimpalwadi, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, by Shri Savir Jaitley, JE/C&W/Kalka Railway Station, on 22.11.2024.
